The establishment of The Nassau Club evolved from a meeting on April 21, 1889 at the University Hall of the College of New Jersey, as Princeton University was then known. The Nassau Club has had many distinguished members including two presidents of the United States: Grover Cleveland and Woodrow Wilson. Today, the club features excellent dining facilities and menus, lectures and social events, conducted trips, and temporary bedroom accommodations for its members and their guests.
It is a member-owned private club located at the intersection of Mercer and Nassau Streets in downtown Princeton, NJ, adjacent to Princeton University and within walking distance of the Princeton Amtrak/NJ Transit train station.
There are currently 600 Resident members (those who live or work within a 20 mile radius of the Club) and 600 Non-Resident members. The membership includes men and women in business, the professions and academia. Membership is by invitation.
