a) Owner status is highly exclusive. It allow you executive level control in that you can build and edit your respective community however you would like. You will also be able to approve other Administrators to help you construct a vibrant, highly interactive resource. You will need a .edu email or affiliated address and a convincing reason for us to grant you this level of community control.
b) Administrator status delivers its own set of benefits and is more commonly granted. This level of control will allow you to manage aspects of a community's architecture and engagement, such as unique widgets and members.

If you think you may wish to take the reins of a School or Network, first explore the website and then send us a request. Your suggestion will be sent to Scholarly Insider for consideration. IF your request is approved, you will be notified via our internal email.
Allowed & Disallowed File Types
1) What files types can I upload to Scholarly Corner (file-share) or other areas of the site?
You may upload media files, such as MP3 and MP4, image files, such as .jpg and .png, Microsoft Office files, such as .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, and more.
b) Nudity and/or offensive content is not permitted. This is a scholarly community, so please help us keep it highbrow by refraining from uploading offensive content and report pages that you find questionable.
c) Anything that may damage or endanger our network or brand is not permitted.
1) What is that rectangular toolbar on the mid-right side of each page?
That is our handy toolbar that helps accomplish three functions:
a) Social Share: This is the top icon (the one that looks like a half-circle with an arrow emanating from the center). This tool allows you to easily share any page on the most popular social networks. Just right click down on the icon, hold your clicker, and drag the Social Share icon over a centered logo, each of which represents a high-traffic website, such as Digg, LinkedIn, Reddit and others.
b) Scholarly Corner (file-share): Just click this center icon (the wrench & hammer) to start building Scholarly Insider with your favorite scholarly files, such as recorded academic lectures, research papers and/or campus photos.
c) Feedback: With one click of this bottom icon (the Scholarly Speakerphone), you can shout-out praise, critiques or recommmendations (see Feedback's About: Bug Report, Content, Suggestions, Compliment or Other). Also, you can list the mood that a page inspires at the time of posting (see Feedback's Mood: Angry, Neutral, Happy).
