About Scholarly Insider
Our Philosophy, Commitment And Company Details

  • Our Philosophy
  • Welcome to Scholarly Insider - A place for friends and peers to build academic communities online.
  • Our communities are digital representations of real-world entities that range from Universities and Colleges (our "Schools") to any numbers of their sub-divisions, such as departments, alumni associations, or professional programs (Networks).
  • Just as it holds offline, the networks that comprise a school's community sum up to form what that university or college is inherently as an entity--that is to say, a series interwoven, often symbiotic, networks of people, organizations and social structures working cooperatively so that, in their summation, they create an overarching entity with which we attribute a name, such as Harvard, Princeton, or you name it.
  • What is Yale, for example, without its professors, students, departments, libraries and student organizations? Subtracting these and other core components, it wouldn't exist. Therefore, each facet of a School has importance as a powerful force that lends itself to create what that School is inherently--i.e. a combination of successful parts.
  • The right combination of Networks, or people working to achieve a particular goal, will build its reputation, attracts scholars and athletes and enhances its financial endowment, which, in turn, allows it to thrive further by hiring more scholars, attract more students in a self-perpetuating circle. In other words, each School is a complex environment, where each component has great significance.
  • We've taken this reality and created a place for each Network to thrive in a digital space in order to create, support and enhance our Schools. We just need our most important part: You.
  • Our Commitment To You
  • Philosophy aside, without our members, we cannot exist (even in theory) as something great. With your help, we can build an amazing intellectual-driven world online. Your "Insider" (experienced / well-informed) contributions drive our communities and the "Campus Guides," where your best contributions are featured in an attractive knowledge base that our users will find highly informative and enjoyable. We are committed to providing you with an unparalleled interactive online experience.
  • Contributors can develop any aspect of a college or university into something with which people love to interact. If you have the qualifications, you may even be able to take the reins of a given community, invite new users, assign administrators, and shape its overall architecture (e.g. the data displayed and the methods of data delivery). To learn more about many of our features, click here. We add / enhance features regularly, so feel free to request more tools in our feedback section (see the toolbar on the right side of the page). If you have further questions, visit our FAQ section for additional details.
  • We would like this to reflect the best of the academic experience. We encourage you to make new friends, gain new information and become a scholarly insider!
